Gemma del Vecchio, a young Roman fashion designer, has been working in the fashion industry for almost 10 years with great passion and dedication.

Daughter of master Roberto Capucci’s right hand man for a few years  finished her studies at the “Accademia di Costume e di Moda” in 2007 summa cum laude Gemma has been selected for personal show as “Final Work" for Haute Couture Roma the same year.

She’s been nominated finalist to present her collection at the "XVII National Competition Young Fashion Designers" in Riccione and accredited by the University "La Sapienza" in Rome among the "30 Italian talents under 30" winning three fashion contests at maisonacademia.com.

Her work experience started as a costume assistant, for Rossini's opera "La Cenerentola", and later on as a fashion designer , her real big passion, working as a fashion creative designer and fitting’s coordinator for brands such as:

“Gucci”, “M Missoni”, “Emporio Armani”, “Gai Mattiolo”, Mafalda von Hessen”, “Rocco Barocco”, “David Mayer Naman, “Atelier Persechino”, “Two Way”, “Royal Bruxelles Poseidon”, “P&A Fashion”, “Moda Caprese”, “Res Nullius”, “Orange Park Records” etc.

Along with her work, Gemma , loving art in all its forms, has developed a personal project, entitled "Papuasia's Shadow" (multi-sensorial fashion and photography conjunction through the use of shade projected in third dimension).

Her solo exhibit, presented several times in prestigious galleries and locations between Rome and Milan from 2010 to 2014, has been very interested in numerous interviews and dedicated articles.
